Pola Durajska
After completing her PhD in history of art and undertaking teaching roles at the University of York, Pola went on to various projects which included providing research and expertise in the area of nineteenth-century landscapes to auction houses. She then spent several months in Paris, Rome and Tuscany working for an international art collector.
While pursuing her master’s degree in the history of collecting and collections at Glasgow, Pola worked for the prestigious Hunterian Art Gallery where she single-handedly reorganised the entire collection of drawings and watercolours.
Collaborations with museum collections have been an important aspect of Pola’s activities. She has recently co-curated the first exhibition of Frederic Leighton’s landscape art, opening in November 2024 at the Leighton House Museum in London.
Pola joined Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood in 2023 and is delighted to take on the role as Head of the Picture Department.
