The 20^th Century & Contemporary department encompasses jewellery, silver, studio pottery, ceramics, metalwares, works of art, pictures, sculpture, furniture and furnishings from the beginning of the 20^th Century to the present day and because of this wide field of subjects, it is overseen by the various specialist departments.

Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood hold two 20^th Century sales a year and these have built in size over the last few years, as interests and collecting habits have changed. World record prices have been achieved in these sales and of particular note, was the Hans Coper vase which was sold for £305,000.
